ESPN sources are saying that Cincinnati Bengals Quarterback Carson Palmer wants out of Cincy now! He appears set to demand a trade, and is willing to retire if his request is not accepted. Chad Ochocinco also weighed in on the subject via Twitter, more on that in a moment.
Carson was the #1 overall pick of the 2003 draft and has had one of those roller coaster careers. He has peaked with two division titles and two pro-bowls, but the rest of his career has been filled with a whole bunch of average.
In my opinion, Carson should just zip it and enjoy his $97 million dollar 4 year extension that he singed in 2005. The Bengals organization might be a massive train wreck, and losing really sucks, but that is a whole lot of “Shut the hell up, throw the ball to Ochocinco, and smile while giving the fans hope” money.
Bengals flamboyantly entertaining wide receiver Chad Ochocino offered Palmer up a Tweet of wisdom stating “Carson Palmer demands a trade? Last person demanded a trade in Cincy was crucified by the media n had to win the fans back. how will this go?” Referring to his demand for a trade back in 2008 and the windfall that all caused up!
